These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Book Kart website and services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.

Our Services

Book Kart provides book listing, repricing, inventory, and consignment services to libraries, Friends groups, nonprofits, and other organizations. Specific service scope, fees, and payout arrangements are set out in a separate agreement or proposal provided to your organization.

Consignment and Commission

• Under our Fully Managed (consignment) option, you deliver or make books available for pickup, and we handle intake, listing, pricing, fulfillment, and reporting. Proceeds are shared according to your agreement.
• Under our Self-Managed (commission) option, your team uses the Book Kart platform to list and manage books, and we receive a commission on sales.
• Exact rates are quoted per organization based on volume and are documented in your proposal.

Book Pickups

When you request a pickup, you confirm that you are authorized to dispose of the books and that they are free of encumbrances. We reserve the right to decline items that are not suitable for resale. Arrangements for unsold or low-value stock will be agreed in advance.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when using our forms and services.
• Ensure you have the right to sell or consign the books you provide.
• Use the Book Kart platform and portal only for lawful purposes.

Intellectual Property

The Book Kart name, logo, website, and platform are the property of Book Kart and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without our written permission.

Disclaimers

Our website and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee specific sale prices, sell-through rates, or revenue outcomes.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Book Kart will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or services. Our total liability is limited to the amounts payable to your organization under the applicable agreement.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
